Taking Sports Care To Another Level!

On 28th August, 2012, the Centre for Sports Medicine at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital & Medical Research Institute organised a seminar on Sports Medicine at C K Nayadu Hall, Cricket Club of India (CCI), Mumbai. About 125 people attended the event, which was graced by actor and fitness enthusiast Gul Panag and Prof. Ratnakar Shetty, Chief Administrative Officer, BCCI. Highlights included talks by Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, head of the hospital's sports medicine department, and Heath Matthews, internationally acclaimed sports physiotherapist and a member of the hospital team, on injuries and performance enhancement respectively. The presence of renowned sportspersons, such as former table tennis players Kamlesh Mehta and his wife Monalisa Baruah Mehta (an Arjuna Award winner); former hockey captain Viren Rasquinha and CEO of Olympic Gold Quest; and national badminton champion Uday Pawar; as well as representatives of clubs, such as CCI, Bombay Gymkhana and Wellington Gymkhana, further gilded the event. An entertaining interactive session between the audience and experts was followed by cocktails and dinner.
