Health benefits of brinjals or baingan

The calorific count of brinjal is extremely low when consumed as a soup or in its roasted, baked or mashed form. Frying it, will minimize its nutritional value and increase its calorie content. Mashed brinjal is known to relieve flatulence (gas) problems whereas brinjal soup promotes digestion.
