Health Benefits of Carrots

KDAH

Carrots are rich in beta-carotene, a type of vitamin A that helps the retina and other parts of the eye to function smoothly. Getting plenty of Vitamin A reduces the chances of cataract formation and early-age blindness. Carrots also contain lutein, an antioxidant that increases pigment density in the macula, the oval-shaped yellow area near the retina of the eye.
