Uro-Oncology service, including multi-disciplinary team of medical oncology, radiation oncology and services like preventive oncology, palliative care clinic and rehabilitation provide the diagnosis, evaluation of the patient, planning and treatment, as well as post treatment rehabilitation.
The Uro-Oncology service at Kokilaben Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility that links multi-disciplinary health professionals with the community at large in a unique diagnostic, treatment, education and research environment. The Urologic Oncology division is bly supported by the division of pathology, particularly histopathology. Many surgical procedures that require critical margins in the excision of tumours are helped by frozen section facilities.
The Uro-Oncology service at Kokilaben Hospital has well experienced urologist who has worked in Tata Memorial Hospital, the premier institute for cancer in India for seven years as Associate Professor and Consultant Uro-Oncologist. Clinical assistant who is a qualified urologist will be assisting in his work. Service also has dedicated oncology nurse and a social worker for counseling patients. The department firmly believes in state-of-the-art evidence based management of all Uro-Oncological conditions.
