FellowshipsAfter having completed her initial training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at KEM Hospital, Mumbai, she pursued her primary interest in Hepatology and Liver Transplantation at the University of Toronto, Canada. She did a 2 year fellowship program at the University Health Network, one of the premier institutes in North America. She worked with Dr. Jenny Heathcote a distinguished hepatologist, and subsequently in the Multi organ Transplant Centre, which is one of the top 5 liver transplant Centres in North America. She published original work on hepatitis B and C in liver transplant during this time and also was a co investigator in several ongoing trials. She presented and published a number of articles during this period. On her return to Mumbai, she worked at Bombay Hospital and later as a hepatologist at the Wockhardt Hospital. She helped develop the liver transplant program at Wockhardt Hospital. Academics and teaching has always been her priority and she has been actively involved in post graduate Gastroenterology and Hepatology teaching at the Nair and KEM Hospital for several years. In addition to being a consultant Hepatologist at the Kokilaben Ambani Hospital, she is also an Honorary Hepatologist at the KEM hospital, Mumbai.
