Transplantation is a lease for a new life. National transplant games are held every year to prove that transplant recipients and their donors can live a near normal life
This year the National Transplant games were held on 20 Nov 2011, at Goregaon Sports Club, Mumbai.
This year there were 250 participants (Organ Donors, Transplant recipients) from all over India, who participated in both indoor and outdoor games like- 100,200, 400 m running, shot-put, discus, table tennis, badminton, chess etc.
World Kidney Day is celebrated worldwide on the 2nd Thursday of every year to access the impact of kidney diseases, raise awareness and help inculcate preventive behaviours in the common man. This year, the World Kidney Day was celebrated at Kokilaben Hospital on 7th of March, which was attended by 140 people. Awareness talks were delivered to the attendees and thereafter a screening camp was organised to assess the presence of kidney diseases and guide patients towards prevention of kidney diseases.
The event was attended by 35 intensives from nearby locality. Dr Preeta Joshi and Dr Vinay Joshi hosted this event. While Dr. K.N. Shah, an eminent Pediatrician and Neurologist, was a guest speaker. Mr Chris Torey, RRT, U.K., was present.
We hosted a Parent Awareness Lecture in Kidzee School. The event was attended by 40 parents; a lecture and presentation was given by Dr Tanu Singhal.
Parents Awareness Program was held on 4th July, 2009 at Euro Kids School. Total of 100 parents were in attendance. Speakers Dr Tanu Singhal and Dr Santanu Sen discussed topics ranging from – childs optimum nutrition, behavior, safety and protection from illnesses to child psychology

They discussed topics ranging from child's optimum nutrition, behavior, safety and protection from illnesses to child psychology.
No Tobacco Day program was held on 3rd June at MMTC ltd, Bandra. Total of 60 participants attended the programme.
Speakers Dr Mandar Deshpande and Dr Sudhir Pallai spoke about Tobacco and Cancer as well as Cardiac problems due to tobacco.
Event was held on June 7th 2009 at Dr Mandke Convention Center. Total of 435 doctors attended the event. The facilities available as well as the talent at our Centre of Excellence for Oncology were highlighted. Case studies shared during lectures. The speakers spoke extensively about the importance of the availability of Super Specialist under one department and its advantage in the treatment of patients.
Thyroid day was held at Celebration Club in Lokhandwala. The hospital offered free TSH testing and a Q&A with our Doctors Dr Dheeraj Kapoor and Dr Jeo George. There were180 participants in attendance.
The event was held at Bharat Sewa Ashram, Vashi. It was conducted by Jitendra Singh and SP Dang. There were 300 patients in attendance. Dr Deshpande spoke in Hindi and gist of his talk was interpreted into Bengali by Dr Kaustav Talapatra for the participants (who were mainly from the eastern region in India).
Dr Talapatra talked about role of Radiotherapy in cancer management and facilities available at the hospital. .Mr Ashok Kumar answered a lot of questions about the treatment and expense- as well as the specialist at our hospital.
We held a 'No Tobacco Day Camp' at our hospital where we offered free X – rays to the participants and Q&A with - Dr Sudhir Pillai, Dr Sushil Jain, Dr Mandar Despande. There were 40 participants present.
