Dr. Falguni was a faculty (Assistant professor followed by Associate professor) for Fifteen years at the prestigious B.Y.L. Nair hospital and Topiwala National Medical College which is a 1500 bedded multispecialty tertiary care hospital with a medical college situated in South Mumbai. 

Dr. Falguni was attached to Tropical Medicine Clinic and Hypertension Clinic at Nair Hospital right from their inception in 1993. She was In charge of 23 bedded closed Medical Intensive Care Unit at Nair hospital for 3 years prior to joining Kokilaben Hospital where she along with her team was instrumental in upgrading the ICU services to meet quality standards of ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2005 which is a landmark achievement for a public hospital in India. She has been a undergraduate and postgraduate teacher and has guided 8 post graduate students in their dissertation for M.D (Medicine) at university level.

Dr. Falguni has wide experience in diagnosis and treatment of diseases common to the tropics like Malaria, Leptospirosis, Dengue, Typhoid, Cholera and Tuberculosis. She has managed infections like hydatid disease, cysticercosis, amoebiasis, tropical eosinophilia and filariasis besides rare bacterial and viral infections like Brucellosis, Ebstein Barr virus infections, etc. She has experience in the treatment of HIV/AIDS and opportunistic infections in these patients. She is particularly interested in diagnosis and management of patients with prolonged fevers of undetermined origin. She has experience in management of nosocomial infections. She specializes in management of infections in specific subgroups like diabetes, pregnancy and other immunocompromised states.

Hypertension is a silent killer and a very important risk factor for heart, brain and kidney disease. Dr. Falguni specialises in management of essential hypertension and is particularly interested in the management of hypertension in pregnancy, and hypertension in young patients.
