Biography

Dr Singhania graduated in Medicine from Mumbai University and completed his post graduation in Internal medicine at Sion Hospital. He then did MRCP from Royal College of Physician, London. Further to this he completed entire respiratory medicine training in United Kingdom in internationally acclaimed hospitals and gained experience in dealing with complex respiratory cases. After working as a consultant in Respiratory Medicine, he moved to Mumbai and has been working in Kokilaben Hospital since last 5 years.

Dr. Singhania has been trained in Respiratory Medicine in UK and was previously working as consultant in Pulmonology in Manchester, UK. His special interest areas are Asthma, interstitial lung disease and interventional pulmonology. He also has substantial experience in COPD, Lung cancer, Tuberculosis and Respiratory Fungal Diseases at Tertiary Care hospitals in the UK. His procedural skills include Medical Thoracoscopy, Conventional Bronchoscopy, Endobronchial Ultrasound guided transbronchial lymph node aspiration ( EBUS TBNA) and Indwelling Chest Drains.

Dr. Singhania has expertise in Acute and Domiciliary Non-Invasive Ventilation in patients with morbid obesity, neuromuscular diseases and COPD. He has also been running Sleep Clinics and besides sleep apnoea also deals with other sleep disorders.

Dr Singhania has worked in various state of the art departments of Respiratory Medicine in UK. He has attended multiple workshops and courses run by British Thoracic Society and has number of publications in peer reviewed journals. He has written chapter on tuberculosis in medical microbiology book. He was a lead for Non invasive ventilation in hospital in UK and has done multiple clinical audits for maintenance and improvement of standards of service and care to patients.
