KDAH Centre for Sports Medicine had a stellar performance at the 10th Annual Conference of Indian Arthroscopy Society held at Delhi from 9 – 11th September 2011. The conference was organised in association with Delhi Orthopaedic Association.
Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, Head - Centre for Sports Medicine, KDAH had the opportunity to demonstrate three live surgical demo cases of the 'KDAH Technique'. He also presented eight lectures during the conference which was attended by 463 orthopaedic and arthroscopy surgeons, reinforcing the message that the KDAH Arthroscopy Service is the best in India. Two posters were also presented in the conference by the KDAH team.
Besides, Dr. Manish Maheshwari, Clinical Assistant to Dr. Pardiwala, was awarded the Best Paper Of The Conference for 'Arthroscopic Autologous Chondrocyte Implantation For Talar Osteochondral Defects' - a technique developed at KDAH.
Furthermore, Dr. Mark Getelman, Co-Director, Sports Medicine Fellowship Program, Southern California Orthopedic Institute, in his key note oration showed photos of KDAH and commented that Kokilaben Hospital was amongst the most advanced hospitals with best operation theatres that he had seen during his travels across the world. He also added that the surgical skills demonstrated by Dr. Pardiwala during the KDAH Shoulder Masters live surgical demos were 'unbelievable' from which he learnt more than he had taught.
Dr Manjeet Mehta has been awarded with the prestigious "Women Achiever's Award" by India International Friendship Society (IIFS) for her outstanding work in the field of Genetics particularly in Genomic research, Epigenetics and Predictive testing in Inherited Cancers.
This award is presented to some of the extraordinary men and women who have specialized in various fields like the science and technology, education, industry, fine arts, politics and social work in lieu of the yeoman's services rendered with excellence in their respective fields.
The award along with Certificate of Excellence was presented to Dr Manjeet Mehta by Dr. Bhishma Narain Singh, Former Governor of Tamilnadu & Assam and Mr. Shekhar Dutt, Governor of Chattisgarh in a seminar on Global Participation in India's Economic Development held at New Delhi.
Among the some renowned past recipients of this Award include Mother Teresa, former Vice-President of India, Shri B.D. Jatti, Chief Justice of Supreme Court of India, Justice P.N. Bhagwati, Maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Hockey Olympian, Dhanraj Pillay, Governors of few States, educationists, players and other renowned personalities in lieu of extraordinary services rendered by them in their respective fields.

The Mumbai west branch of Indian Medical Association has Honoured Dr. Sandeep Goyle with the prestigous award of "Emerging Star of Medicine" for his committment and services in the field of Oncology and Medicine. The award was presented to Dr. Sandeep Goyle on 16th January 2011 during the feliciatation ceremony at IMA Hall, Juhu, Mumbai.

Dr. Suchitra N. Pandit, Consultant Gynaecology and Obstetrics is the Winner of Mayor's award for outstanding services to women on 8th March, 2011 at a felicitation function in the Mayor's residence. She was given a trophy, certificate and a shawl by The Mayor Mrs. Shraddha Jadhav and Mrs. Uddhav Thakre. It was indeed a great moment to be receiving it with 50 women who have been doing distinguished services in other fields.

Amongst her contribution, she has proposed a validation protocol for total quality management in the new laboratory and a novel bioindex "Lipid Pentad Index" as cardiac risk marker. At AACC meeting, She will present on "Validation Protocol: First Step of Total Quality Management in a New Laboratory Set-up" under the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute affiliation.
The AACC Annual Meeting is the largest clinical laboratory exposition in the world for clinical laboratory medicine attended by world renowned scientists and more than 600 organizations. Previously Dr. Barnali has also received 2 International and 3 National Awards.
