There are 2 types of tests for cervical cancer screening. Pap smear and HPV test. The Pap smear test can find early cell changes and treat them at the early stages of cervical cancer. The HPV (human papillomavirus) test finds certain infections that can lead to cell changes and cancer. Routine screening is recommended every three years for women aged 21 to 65 years.
