Knife cuts are a common kitchen accident which can happen while chopping vegetables. Here is what you can do to treat minor wounds: Clean the wound with soap and water, apply pressure to the cut with a clean cloth or bandage for a few minutes to stop the bleeding. If you bleed through the cloth, place another one on top of it, use an antibacterial ointment. If it’s a minor wound, dab a little of this over the cut. Cover the area with a bandage or gauze pad and adhesive tape. See a doctor if the bleeding is severe or does not stop after five minutes of direct pressure.
