Signs of overparenting

KDAH

Overparenting is when parents attempt to micromanage their child’s life. You hover over your child continuously to make sure they're making good decisions, protect them from any physical or mental pain, and keep them from confronting the repercussions of their actions. This can have serious consequences such as stunting a child’s development and causing a child to become overly dependent. You can avoid this by helping your child develop maturity, giving them some independence, helping them solve their problems, and letting them deal with their own worries.
