What is Leukemia?

#Leukemia is a type of cancer found in your blood and bone marrow and is caused by the rapid production of abnormal white blood cells. These abnormal white blood cells are unable to fight infection and impair the ability of the bone marrow to produce red blood cells and platelets. Fatigue, frequent infections, fever, easy bruising or bleeding, weight loss, and swollen lymph nodes are some of the symptoms of Leukemia. This disease can be treated with chemotherapy, radiation therapy, targeted therapy, and bone marrow transplants depending on the type and stage of leukemia. #bloodcancer #leukemiaawareness
