The program will commence on 1st August, 2011 and run through 31st July, 2012.
The purpose of the course is to describe the knowledge, skills and expertise together with the learning, teaching, and supervision that will be provided by this educational programme so that the emergency physician is able to identify the critically ill and injured, provide safe and effective immediate care and establish the diagnosis and initiate or plan for definitive care. The curriculum will include a wide range of pathologies from the life threatening to the self limiting in all age groups, across multiple specialities, including prehospital care, resuscitation and skills for emergency procedures.

Through patient care, case clinics, symposia, journal clubs, group discussion, clinico-pathological correlation, lectures, and training on mannequins. The training program will comprise clinical rotations in Accident & Emergency department, Radiology, and adult and paediatric critical care units.
Payment of fixed stipend will be done as per the Institute's rules.
