Know the warning signs of Preeclampsia

KDAH

Swelling and headaches are common in pregnancy, but they could also be warning signs of Preeclampsia, a serious condition that affects both mother and baby. It usually occurs after 20 weeks of pregnancy and is marked by high blood pressure and organ stress, especially to the kidneys and liver. Watch for symptoms like: * High BP * Severe headaches * Swelling (hands, face, eyes) * Blurred vision or light sensitivity * Sudden weight gain * Pain under the ribs * Decreased urination If untreated, preeclampsia can cause premature birth, low birth weight, seizures, organ damage, and may even threaten the lives of both mother and baby. Don’t ignore the signs. Regular checkups can help detect it early and keep you and your baby safe. #PreeclampsiaAwareness #MaternalCare #SafeMotherhood #PrenatalHealth #HealthyPregnancy #KnowTheSigns #WorldPreeclampsiaDay
