International Clinical Trials Day
On 20th May 2025, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai, celebrated International Clinical Trials Day as part of the ISCR ICTD initiative.
Students from various institutes got an insightful glimpse into the world of clinical research through sessions on the evolution of clinical research, current trends, the role of ethics committees, career opportunities in clinical research, and a day in the life of a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC).
Dr. Aparna Walanj, Senior Manager, Medical Research, and the Medical Research team curated an interactive and informative event. Dr. Mihir Dalal, Vice President, shared his thoughts on the vital role of research in advancing patient care.
The Medical Research Department supports the conduct of clinical studies to evaluate new treatments, drugs, and medical devices for safety and effectiveness. It works closely with physicians, sponsors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring ethical and compliant research practices while also facilitating patient recruitment, data collection, and ongoing clinical trial monitoring.
