Namaste.

Let me share an incident of 08.01.2021 & my experience with your Hospital.

It was  a beautiful Friday morning; It was drizzling. I was on my Bicycle as usual going to the Gym at Celebration Club, Lokhandwala Complex, Andheri West. (I did not wear a helmet, as it was just about 500 meters away from home).

At about 7.30 AM, when I took the right turn to enter the Club, I slipped badly and had a fall on my right side. Theoretically, I knew that unseasonal rain brings the rubber and diesel to the surface, making the roads very slippery. This time, I was unfortunate to have actually experienced it!

It caught me so unawares, that before I knew what happened, I saw a lot of blood oozing out from my head, besides injuring my right side - shoulder, elbow, hip, knee & fingers.

Luckily, a good Samaritan (Ahmed Chunawala) was leaving the Club in the morning after his Lawn Tennis session and offered to help me.

I was feeling absolutely normal; but I showed him the wound and asked him if it looked serious; he said YES. Then he dropped me to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital’s Accident & Emergency Centre. Ahmedbhai waited for some time but I insisted him to please carry on with his routine. He even offered to pick me up later (but I was doing okay & took an auto rickshaw to the Gym later to check on my Cycle & repair it a bit and also meet friends, if possible).

The TEAM at Kokilaben Hospital was simply EXCELLENT. Everyone and everything was so impressive. They swung to action immediately on my reaching there and attended to me extremely well.

Understanding the scene in brief, Tetanus Injection, Blood Pressure & Blood Glucose Check, besides of course, Pulse Oximeter Check, Cleaning of Wounds, Stitching up the opened portion of the head, Dressing up everything; Declaration signing & Filling-out the Registration Form, Medicine Prescription, Case File Preparation, Payment, etc. EVERYTHING was so nice, smooth, efficient; and it was all so cheerfully done (& the charges were reasonable too).

It could not have been better.

The recovery has been good. I got the Opsite Dressing changed after 3 days (on 11.01.2021) and the stitch removed 4 days later (on 15.01.2021). In just about a week, it looks & feels as if nothing happened at all.

I have not missed office even for a day (though there was this consciousness of a different feeling on account of the head-injury.)

The whole experience has been so awesome that I am thanking God Almighty: for all that happened and for all that did not.

I am thanking God: for all the people and circumstances; for the place & time and: for all that I cannot understand (but am so blessed with).

A special thanks to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital.

Sincere good wishes for great health to ALL,
