A former athlete and lifelong sports enthusiast, Ankita Matondkar developed an early passion for movement and human performance. Over the past 13 years, she has dedicated her career to helping individuals recover from injury, return to activity and achieve their physical potential. Her special interests include sports and musculoskeletal rehabilitation, movement optimization, manual therapy and athlete performance enhancement.

Ankita has worked for over 13 years in Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Prior to joining Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, she was associated with Sports Medicine Clinic in Mumbai and Foot, Ankle and Lower Limb Clinic in Mumbai. Her early clinical experience focused on the assessment and management of sports injuries and musculoskeletal conditions, laying the foundation for her subsequent work in elite sports rehabilitation and performance medicine.
Ankita has been associated with Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital since 2017 and currently serves as Associate Consultant in the Centre for Sports Medicine. During her tenure, she has worked extensively with elite athletes across multiple sporting disciplines and has been involved in sports injury rehabilitation, return-to-play programmes, athlete screening, movement analysis and sports science services. She has served as Head Physiotherapist for Puneri Paltan in the Pro Kabaddi League, worked with Jaipur Pink Panthers and Tennis Premier League teams and provided physiotherapy support to national, international and olympian athletes. She is also actively involved in academic programmes, workshops and the development of evidence-based rehabilitation practices within the department.
