KDAH Experience

Dr. Iyer been an exclusive and fulltime Consulting Neurophysiologist since the last 7 years.
Performs Electromyography, SFEMG, electrophysiology studies like BERA, VEP, SSEP, Decrement study and autonomic studies.

Dr. Iyer has been doing

  • EEG, VEEG, and long term bedside monitoring for ICU patients. (Kokilaben Hospital is the only hospital offering this service in Mumbai)
  • Intraoperative monitoring for brain tumour with speech/language mapping, central sulcus and motor area mapping. (maximum no of cases in the city of Mumbai).
  • Spine surgeries requiring motor evoked potential (MEP), somatosensory evoked potential (SSEP) and Dwave mapping for spinal tumours (one of the two centres in Mumbai offering all these modalities).
  • Epilepsy surgery requiring Electrocorticography. Complex epilepsy requiring Stereo EEG recording (maximum cases in Mumbai city). These are high end state of the art technologies which are still sparsely available in Mumbai.
  • Performs Electromyography, electrophysiology studies like BERA, VEP, SSEP, Decrement study. Dr. Iyer has been doing EEG, VEEG, Intraoperative monitoring for brain and spine surgeries.

Dr. Iyer’s experience in the field of neurophysiology and intraoperative monitoring is wide with the large numbers and makes her a unique pillar in the department of neurosciences. She is a sought after teacher and speaker at national conferences and has regular posters pertaining to her field in international conferences.
