Mrs Ranjanoro Hariniaina Ranaivoarisoa, Madagascar
In July 2024, I was diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer. The prognosis was quite grim, as
it was an aggressive type of cancer.
I underwent four sessions of chemotherapy in Madagascar. The professor overseeing my
treatment provided care in an exemplary and professional manner.
However, it was a physically and emotionally exhausting journey. With God's help and the
support of my family, I completely changed my diet: I now eat fruits and vegetables and have
cut out sugar and meat.
In February 2025, I arrived at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital (KDHA) in Andheri.
Under the expert care of the doctors there, including Dr. Imran, I was advised to undergo an
advanced test using Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology.
The test results were encouraging. The doctor told me I didn’t need to continue chemotherapy
and could instead receive targeted immunotherapy. I was then prescribed the medication
Lorlatinib.
In July 2025, I returned to the hospital for a check-up. I was overjoyed to learn that the PET
scan showed a significant reduction in the tumor—it’s beginning to disappear.
Thanks to God, to the advanced care, and to the precise treatment plan at Kokilaben Hospital,
I’m doing well. I feel relieved.
What I’ve learned from this experience is that our bodies can heal—especially when we
support them and are well cared for. Every cancer is different, but there is always hope.
