Mst. Arivony Fitahiana, Madagascar
"My baby was diagnosed with congenital heart disease called Tricuspid Atresia, which required a surgical care, which could not be performed in our country, Madagascar.
We were warmly welcomed on our arrival by our lead coordinator Jinal and her colleagues. Then by the medical team led by Dr. Suresh Rao and the nurses “sisters”, who were very caring. And by the entire staff of Kokilaben hospital who contributed, in one way or the other, to make our stay more pleasant.
My baby had respiratory difficulties. He was given oral medication before the surgery, afterwards the surgery went smoothly.
We had a good time with the doctors and coordinators. The doctors were very compassionate and reassuring, they clearly explained the procedure to us and they did their work perfectly. The coordinators were very approachable and attentive, making our experience less difficult.
My baby and I are very grateful towards the entire team, because you gave us so much hope despite his serious illness. We look forward to seeing you again soon at our next meeting, and we wish you all the best for your future.
