My visit to the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai for an eye evisceration surgery followed by a prosthesis placement was a real success. The result is excellent, and above all, this intervention allowed me to avoid the worst for my other eye. Before this operation, my eye continued to deteriorate: it retracted, the cornea became white, the pain was constant (red eye, painful), and sometimes I could not stand the light.
The whole organization, from Madagascar office to the end of the process, was remarkable: quality infrastructure, a translator available, a warm welcome, the professionalism of the doctors, the dedication of the nursing staff, as well as comfortable accommodation.
I thank from the bottom of my heart Dr. Anuradha Rao for having welcomed me, accompanied and led this operation until the final installation of the prosthesis. Your immense expertise, kindness and kindness have reassured me throughout the journey. My thanks also go to Dr. Niren Dongre, my translator Mrs. Roshni, the nurses and all the staff of Kokilaben, whether in Madagascar (Ms. Mirana, Ms. Vero) or on site in India.
